A message from the Shaykh
This institute is named in honour of my late father,
Shaykh Mohammad al-Shaybani. He was a profound scholar and jurist, but his greatest lesson was his lived reality. My childhood was shaped by waking in the depths of the night to his beautiful, tearful Qur'an recitation, and his gentle awakenings for Fajr before we were even ten years old. During a visit to the UK in 1984, unable to speak English, he stood in Hyde Park and simply recited a quarter of the Qur'an. Over four decades later, his son establishes this institute in the West, carrying his name.
May Allah have mercy on his soul and accept this as a lasting beacon of light in his scale of good deeds.
